Dr. Patrick Fisher
Crisis intervention specialist, organizational consultant, and advocate for the human-animal bond.
My Story
I've spent my career helping people and organizations navigate their most challenging moments. That journey has given me a unique perspective on what it takes to build resilience.
For over 15 years, I served as Director of Counseling Services, overseeing mental health support across 95 schools. I built crisis response teams, developed trauma-informed protocols, and helped thousands of students, families, and staff members through difficult transitions.
That experience taught me that effective support isn't about having all the answers—it's about understanding the specific situation, providing practical tools, and walking alongside people as they find their own path forward.
Academic Foundation
My approach is grounded in research but focused on practice. My Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Walden University (2021) gave me a deep understanding of how people learn, change, and grow—especially during difficult periods. Combined with my earlier degrees in psychology and counseling, I bring a comprehensive theoretical foundation to every engagement.
Human-Animal Interaction
I'm also deeply interested in the therapeutic potential of the human-animal bond. As a consultant with the TheraPetic Healthcare Provider Group, I work with individuals seeking service dog and emotional support animal documentation, helping them navigate the clinical screening process and understand their rights.
My Approach
I believe in honesty, practicality, and sustainable change. I won't tell you what you want to hear—I'll tell you what I see and help you develop strategies that actually work. Every situation is unique, and cookie-cutter solutions rarely succeed.
